Wipeout 5K Obstacle Run Boston

So i did this Mud Run Last Sunday and wanted to show everyone the obstacles in case anyone was thinking about doing it. The lines were very long getting registration and on the last line, for the price i feel like there should have been more Obstacles and a nicer shirt. But fun, and great for a beginner who is wants to start running but also have fun.

The 5K run was the Boston stop for the tour themed after the ABC game show “Wipeout” and drew more than 6,500 runners.

Anybody who has seen the popular game show, which is on hiatus after eight seasons, would recognize many of the 12 obstacles . Wacky television favorites like “sweeper,” “tumble tubes,” “happy endings,” “big balls,” and “wrecking balls” were incorporated in the course.

The “big balls” challenge seemed to be the toughest, requiring runners to leap frog across three unstable balls. Most people crashed spectacularly.

“The bouncing balls was bad. I thought I was doing good then all the sudden I fell backwards,” said Ali Kazaras, who traveled from near Philadelphia for the run.
